why hourfarming
A Steam hour booster without the downsides.
Not your electricity bill
Leaving a PC on 24/7 to idle games costs real money and ties up your machine. The fleet boosts your Steam hours from our servers instead.
Not another VPS project
No scripts to babysit, no JSON configs, no reading logs at 2am to find out why the bot died. Reconnects and watchdogs are our job — see the ArchiSteamFarm alternative comparison if you run ASF today.
Not a password form on a shady site
Add accounts by scanning a QR code with the Steam app — your password never leaves your phone.
Not a VAC gamble
Nothing is injected into a game and no file on disk is touched — Steam sees the same signal as a game left open on your own PC. We won’t tell you it’s risk-free; here’s exactly where the real risk is.
how it works
Three steps, then it’s not your problem.
Add an account
Scan a QR code with the Steam Mobile app and approve the sign-in — your password never reaches us. Prefer a password login? That works too, encrypted at rest.

Pick the games
Search by name or paste App IDs — up to 32 per account, the most Steam allows. Add a free game you don’t own yet and the fleet claims it on login.

Close the tab
The fleet farms around the clock on our servers. Drops, reconnects, and rate limits are handled; when Steam wants a Guard code, your browser gets a prompt.

built like infrastructure
The boring parts, done properly.
An engine that survives Steam
Auto-reconnect with exponential backoff, a watchdog that tears down stuck sessions, and a session-conflict policy that never fights you for your own account. Every rule exists because a hang once happened without it — one early version went silent for 25 hours before the watchdog was born.
Steam Guard, where you are
Guard codes are asked for in the panel — with a desktop notification — not lost in a server log. Answer from your phone, the fleet carries on.
Yields when you play
Start a game on your own PC and that account pauses farming instantly. Stop playing and it picks the fleet back up. No session fights, no kicked games.
Your password, optional
QR onboarding signs you in through the Steam Mobile app, so no password ever touches HourFarming. Password logins are AES-256-GCM encrypted and used for exactly one thing: signing into Steam.
Telemetry you can trust
Live per-account state, a rolling hours odometer, and the actual worker log streaming into your browser. When something needs you, you see it — and only then.
Trading cards, one game at a time
Steam drops cards for effectively one game at once, so idling 32 in parallel trickles. Turn on card farming and the engine reads your badges page, farms the game with drops left, moves to the next, and falls back to your hours list when every set is done. How the Steam card farmer works.
Rep Farm: real +rep comments
A Steam comment exchange on the same account. Paste your profile, write a few +rep comments on other members, get points instantly and spend them on comments for your own profile — or any account you farm. Typed by people, never bots. How the Steam comment exchange works.
Small extras that add up
Free-game claiming on login, optional auto-replies to friend messages while you’re "in game", online or invisible persona — per account, your call. How to farm Steam hours.

questions
Asked before, answered straight.
What is a Steam hour boost?
A Steam hour boost (playtime boost) raises the hours-on-record a game shows on your profile by keeping it running in the background. HourFarming does it from the cloud, so your PC stays off — Steam counts the time exactly as if the game were open on your desk.
Is there a free Steam hour booster?
Ours has a free tier: one Steam account, 3 games farming at once, and 100 farmed hours per month — no credit card. Paid plans lift the hour cap and add accounts and games, but the free tier is a working hour booster, not a trial that expires.
Can I boost Steam hours without a PC?
Yes — that is the point of a cloud hour booster. Your accounts sign into Steam from our servers, so hours keep climbing with your PC off, your laptop shut, or your phone the only thing you own. You only need a browser to add accounts and watch the panel.
Does HourFarming farm Steam trading cards?
Yes, on Starter and Fleet: it reads your badges page and farms the games that still have drops left one at a time — the way Steam actually hands them out — then falls back to your hours list when every set is done. The free tier idles for hours only; cards still drop from whatever it idles, just not scheduled.
Will my account get banned?
Farming works exactly like leaving the game open on your PC — the account signs into Steam and reports itself in-game. Nothing is injected into any game and no game files are touched, so VAC has nothing to see. That said, inflating playtime isn’t something Valve endorses, and we can’t speak for their future policy — farm on accounts you’re comfortable with.
Do you see my Steam password?
Not if you use QR sign-in: you approve the login in the Steam Mobile app and only a session token reaches us. If you add an account by password instead, it’s encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it’s stored and is only ever used to sign into Steam.
What happens when I actually want to play?
Just play. Steam tells the fleet you’re in a game on another device and that account pauses farming until you’re done. Hours from your real session count as normal.
What about Steam Guard?
When Steam asks for a code, a prompt appears in the panel and — if you allow notifications — on your desktop. Enter it once; after that the fleet reuses a refresh token and shouldn’t need to ask again.
My account is limited or has a VAC ban — will it work?
Limited accounts farm up to 5 games instead of 32 (Steam’s restriction, not ours). If an account has a VAC ban, the panel asks once whether you want to proceed with it.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the panel. Your fleet keeps farming until the end of the paid period, then drops back to the free tier — accounts and settings stay, nothing is deleted.
